What is the RSU?

The Ryerson Students’ Union is your students’ union, representing 24,000 full time undergraduates and all graduate students. Combining advocacy, services and events the RSU is here to serve you by fighting for lower tuition fees, providing cost-saving services and organizing exciting entertainment throughout the school year. There are plenty of places for you to get involved:

On average students in Ontario pay the highest tuition fees in the country but the RSU is here to help save you some cash. 

Save money all year long with RSU's cost-saving services!  The Student Centre is home to a variety of cost-saving services and programmes. 

Come buy your discounted TTC Metro Pass, have your International Student Identity Card made, get discounted movie admissions or try to sell your used text books. The RSU offers a wide variety of services that you are bound to find useful during the year.

Campus Life

The RSU is planning a variety so social events all year long to get you connected with other students.  Our goal is to make sure you have a great year!

Weekly Pub Nights, Rock Band Competitions, Comedy Events, Cultural Festivals and Live Music are just some of the events the Students’ Union organizes for you.

The academic year can be stressful, so why not relax with a little fun! If you want to help plan an event get involved with the Events & Entertainment Committee.

Advocacy

The RSU is your representative and works on your behalf to improve student life on campus and throughout the city.

The Drop Fees Campaign, Anti-Racism initiatives, Xpressions Against Oppression Week, and going bottled-water free are just some of the initiatives that the RSU leads.

University is your opportunity to make a difference so get involved to make changes on our campus! Get active in the Educational issues, Equity, or Sustainability Committees.
