What is the Week of Welcome?
The Week of Welcome is held during the first week of September. It is our way to welcome all of our members to another great year at Ryerson. All of our events are free and open to all ages. It's your chance to pick up your handbooks and orientation kits, learn about the RSU and have a great time on campus. Head over to Gould Street for live entertainment and information about campus life!
What is the Parade and Picnic?
Every year the RSU hosts the annual Parade and Picnic. It is the largest event we coordinate, and it always kicks off the school year with a bang! Taking place on the Friday of Week of Welcome, students take over Yonge St. and parade down to the docks located at Queen's Quay. Then we take a ferry to Toronto Island, where we hold a large concert. Come enjoy a free ferry ride, free food and a FREE concert! (You must bring your Ryerson Student Card!)
